Mrs. Sam Mills, 61, of the Verona community of Marshall County was born on Sept. 8, 1960, in Jacksonville, FL. She passed from this life on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021, with her husband and son at her side.

Mrs. Mills is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Terry Mills, Verona comm.; son, Terry (Ashley) Mills, II, Columbia, TN; daughter, Mackenzie (Trey) Greenway, Leoma, TN; three girls she loved and raised as her own, Ashlyn Clark, Atlanta, GA, Lauren Handy, Tullahoma, TN, and Megan Parker, Humboldt, TN; two sisters, Joan (Bug) O’Steen and Demmie (Fred) Aniel, both of Jacksonville, FL; three grandchildren, Elijah, Kashton, and Kaisley.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Charlie Loan Andrews and June Dykes Andrews; daughter, Kayla Bryanton; brother, Jerry Andrews, and sister, Gloria Andrews.

Her passion in life, first and foremost, was being a mother. She was blessed to be able to touch the lives of over 30 young ladies through Youth Villages Foster System. Her favorite hobbies were fishing, going to auctions, and yard sales. Sam was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord with all of her heart.

Family members received friends Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home and funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, with Bro. Larry Hames and Bro. Kevin Calahan officiating. Burial followed in Old Orchard Cemetery in Petersburg, TN.

Steven Reed, Donnie McCormick, Jeff Bryant, Hunter Bryant, Daryl Horton and Steve Calahan served as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were the sales staff at Ford of Columbia.
