Nancy Louise (Haislip) Reese, called “Louise” by her loved ones, passed away in her sleep on Aug. 9, 2018 in Grand Junction, Mesa County, CO. She had suffered with Alzheimer’s for many years. She was a native of Marshall County and moved to Colorado after graduation from MCHS in 1958.
Louise was born July 21, 1940, in Lewisburg, TN, to Homer Lee Haislip and Nannie Laura Edwards. Louise married Thomas Jerry Reese on June 9, 1959 in Bernalillo County, NM. Nancy and Jerry had no children.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, R.L. Haislip, and sisters, Lorene (Haislip) Ketchum of Albuquerque, NM and Geraldine (Haislip) Lines of Denver, CO.
She is survived by brothers Charles Lee “Buddy” Haislip of Nashville, TN, James Howard Haislip and John Dee Haislip (Martha) of Lewisburg, TN and numerous nieces and nephews.
Brown’s Cremation and Funeral Services of Grand Junction, CO were in charge of her services. Louise’s ashes were scattered in the Grand Mesa National Forest, east of Grand Junction.
