Dorothy Sue Attkisson, 69, passed away Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at her residence.
She was a native of Tuscumbia, Ala., and was the daughter of the late Orbert and Laverne Mize. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church.
Her parents, and a sister, Joanne Mize, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Attkisson of Lewisburg; son, Billy Cozart of Murfreesboro; daughters, Susan (Wendell) Pugh of Lewisburg, Deborah (J.R.) Blacksher of Murfreesboro, and Dana (Nathan) Croy of Nashville; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Granville Faye Mize of Muscle Shoals, Ala. and Randall Mize of Jasper, Ala.; and sister, Diane Burcham of Tuscumbia, Ala.
Funeral services for Mrs. Attkisson will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with Clyde Mize officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, at the Funeral Home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
