Ray Brooks, 80, of Lewisburg, died Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, in Maury Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Brooks was a native of Athens, Ala. and son of the late Herbert and Ophelia McElyea Brooks. He was the owner of Abeco, Inc. and was a member of East Commerce Baptist Church. Ray was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Marjorie Jones, Adell Griggs, and Elizabeth Brooks, and one brother, Lynn L. Brooks.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Haisley Brooks of Lewisburg; three sons, Allen (Ollie) Brooks of Hickory Flats, Miss., and Eddy Brooks and Bruce Brooks, both of Lewisburg; a brother, Roger Brooks, and two sisters, Mary Jo Wooten and Carolyn Chambers, all of Athens, Ala.; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted by Marlin Finley on Monday, Dec. 9, from the chapel of London Funeral Home, followed by burial in Friendship Cemetery at Culleoka.
London Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
