Mr. Robert Neely Hopkins, 51, of the Laws Hill community of Marshall County, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019, in Nashville, TN. Mr. Hopkins was born in Lewisburg, TN and was a truck driver and lifelong farmer. Robert was a graduate of Forrest High School Class of 1986 and was a member of Church Street Church of Christ in Lewisburg.
Mr. Hopkins is survived by his children, Thomas Neely Hopkins, Laws Hill community, Shelby Leigh Hopkins and Ashley June Hopkins, both of Spring Hill, TN; father and mother, Tex and Mary Neely Whiteside Hopkins, Laws Hill community; brothers, Richard Hopkins and James Hopkins, both of the Laws Hill community; and three grandchildren.
Family members wish to give a special thanks to caregivers, Mary Catharyn, Amber, Nancy and Deanna for their kind and compassionate care during Robert’s illness.
Family members received friends Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. A celebration of Robert’s life was conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Justin Morton and Kyle Bolton officiating. At the conclusion of the services, all friends and family were invited to join together at the Hopkins home place on Powell Lane for a cook-out and time of remembrance and celebration of Robert’s life.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hopkins family in memory of Robert.
