Funeral service for Ronald W. "Ronnie" Osteen, 58, of Fayetteville, was conducted Sunday, March 24, at Washington Street Church of Christ with Bro. Jim Black and Bro. Mike George officiating. Burial followed in Lebanon Cemetery. Mr. Osteen passed away Thursday evening, March 21, 2013, at his residence.
A native of Marshall County, he was the son of C.W. and Louise Walker Osteen. He was employed with the Lincoln Farmers Co-op for 30 years and most recently he worked for the Bedford County Co-op. He was an advocate for all types of agriculture, especially Simmental cattle production. Ronnie was a song leader and Deacon at Washington St. Church of Christ.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Amy Shaw Osteen of Fayetteville; daughter, Susan Edwards and husband Josh of Fayetteville; sons John Osteen and Thomas Osteen, both of Fayetteville; brother, Jerry Osteen and wife Nancy of Murfreesboro; and nieces Natalie and Allison.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association at 105 Westpark Drive, Suite 415, Brentwood, TN 37027.
