Sara "Carolyn" Talley Hamilton, 78, of Murfreesboro, formerly of Lewisburg, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, in St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.
A native of Marshall County, Mrs. Hamilton was the daughter of the late Cecil Talley and Rebecca McClain Talley. She was a homemaker and a member of Church Street Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Don Hamilton, who passed away in 2007, and a brother, Bill Talley.
She is survived by two sons, Keith (Carlin) Hamilton of Tullahoma and William Allen Hamilton of Nashville; a daughter, Mary Ruth Hamilton of Murfreesboro; two granddaughters, Beth (Dustin) Thames and Page (Daniel) Grantham; and one great-granddaughter, Adlen Thames.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hamilton will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, from the Chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home, with Bro. Jim Mickells officiating. Burial will follow in Bryant Cemetery in the Mooresville Community.
