Thomas Allen “Tommy” George, 37, of Lewisburg passed away Dec. 15, 2017, in a Nashville Hospital. He was formerly of the Rose Hill Community, a graduate of Richland High School, and was a nurse at Popular Estates in Columbia for years before going to NHC Oakwood in Lewisburg.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Joe Dean George and Red Lewter; great grandparents, Jim and Pauline Hindman and Bessie and Jim George; and half-brother, Justin Lewter.

Survivors include his partner, William Brown “Billiam” Lanier of Lewisburg; grandmother, Urshula Elizabeth George Holt of Rose Hill; mother and step father, Patricia Marie and Gregory Dean Chapman of OH; father, Jimmy Darrelle Lewter of FL; step-mother, Theresa Lewter of Murfreesboro; sister, Kattie Annette Graham of OH; aunt, Gloria Diane George of Ethridge; cousins who were more like siblings to him, Travis Ray Yokley of Rose Hill, Ashley Leighanne Young of Pulaski, and Josh Lane Yokley of Rose Hill; step sister, Jennifer Swayze of Murfreesboro; partner’s parents, Billy and Kathy Lanier of Lewisburg; 22 nieces and nephews and numerous loved ones.

The family will receive friends and guests at the Welcome Valley Baptist Church on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2017, at 1 p.m. A Memorial Service will begin at 3 p.m.
