Waydean T. Haislip was born on March 11, 1959, in Lewisburg, TN. She accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized at Greater First Baptist Church. Upon relocating to Maryland, she moved her membership to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. After returning to Lewisburg, she united with the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church congregation. She departed her early home on a journey to her heavenly home on August 7, 2022.

Waydean was a tender, caring, and kind-hearted person, who never met a stranger. After graduating from Marshall County High School in 1977, she was briefly employed by Teledyne before beginning a 30-year career at FedEx in Washington, DC.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Frank and Lucille Turner; brother, Reverend William “Bud” Turner; and nephew, James Quentin Turner.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories a devoted husband, Roy “Bam” Haislip of Lewisburg; mother-in-law, Mary G. Harris of Lewisburg; sisters-in-law, Tamekia Harris and Carmelia (Todd) McLean both of Lewisburg; step-daughter, Dorian Haislip of Lewisburg; brothers, James Gary Turner and Gary Ricardo Turner both of Nashville; sister, Dorothy Anne Monette of Nashville; children, Carlos McFall of Nashville, Jordan Talley and Mijan Talley both of Germantown, MD; grandchildren, Gino Kennedy, Aarion Kennedy, Arielle Talley all of Germantown, MD, Carl McFall of Nashville; nephews, Garry Turner and Terrance M. Blain both of Nashville; niece, Tanya Blair (James) Bledsoe of Nashville; great-niece, Breanna Bledsoe of Nashville; great-nephews, Joshua Blair and Terrance Blair of Nashville; three life-long friends/sisters, Jackie Frye of Nashville, Renea Freeman of Lewisburg, Rhonda (Ray) Bodie of Nashville; and one exceptional aunt, Mamie Mayes of Lewisburg.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 12 p.m. at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home with Pastor David McConnell officiating. Burial will follow in Beechwood Cemetery in Cornersville. The family will visit with friends on Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 4 until 8 p.m. at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home.
