Funeral services for Wendell Scott Polk, 52, of Williamson County, will be held at noon Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Golden officiating, with burial to follow in the College Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.

A native of Williamson County, Mr. Polk was the husband of Leigh Ann Polk, and the son of Miller Leroy (Margaret) Polk Sr. and mother Faye Scott.

He was preceded in death by brother Terry Wayne Polk and sister Kimberly Baltimore; grandparents, Russell and Cornelius Scott and grandmother Katie Dyer; uncle Perry Scott; and aunt Mary Ella England. Survivors, in addition to his parents, are children Wendell Scott (Kelly) Polk Jr., Jeremy Polk, and Jessica Polk, all of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Willow Polk and Oliver Polk; stepchildren, Allison Taylor, and Michael Taylor of Chapel Hill; brothers, Miller (Shelia) Polk of Williamson County, Drake Polk of Lewisburg, and Michael (Angela) Newman of Lewisburg; and sister Michelle Bayne of Shelbyville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Oliver Bruce Polk, 1127 Veterans Pkwy, Murfreesboro, TN 37128.
